This book is an easy-to-follow guide for overcoming all-too-familiar change fatigue in order to implement positive change within your org. The language is concise and clear. The authors lay out strategies for gaining buy-in through various exercises and workshops (role-playing, collaboration, etc). If you're in a leadership position, this book will be a useful roadmap. The authors succinctly pull everything together into a narrative- always addressing the who, what, when, how and why. They put a creative spin on the content and their enthusiasm for the subject comes through.

In just a few pages this little gem rewrites your expectations for expecting and managing change.

So many real examples of how things are, with corresponding, practical ways to bend them to the way things could be. I'm convinced, now how do I get this book into the hands of the executives that really need to internalize these messages?

Most business books tell you what you need to know in the first chapter, then fluff out the rest of the book with examples that simply reinforce the thesis over and over. NOT THE CASE WITH THIS BOOK. "Change Fatigue" is a blueprint, from cover to cover — all the steps you need to take to effect real and lasting change within an organization, without burning people out (in fact, strengthening the way your team works together along the way). Breker and Magic are absolute gurus at this stuff, blending step-by-step tactics with the very real human psychology behind the strategy.

I loved and benefited from the relevant content in this user-friendly formatted book. These authors obviously have the experience to know what our workplace has been like in the past, as well as a clear understanding and fresh outlook in order to recognize its changes and how to motivate employees in today’s world.

Our lives have been so filled with change the past few years with Covid, remote work, economic challenges, etc. It's become very difficult to get employees and leadership excited about any change. This book provides a guide and framework for convincing leadership and employees that change is not only manageable but can actually be positive, helpful, and rewarding.

As a business leader, we can all commiserate that burn out is burning us all. This book is a cure-all to combat the challenges that come with change. Easy to read, hugely relatable and super actionable.

As a business owner who has struggled with guiding my team through the myriad changes of the past few years, this book entered my life at the perfect time. It's a smart and actionable blueprint for actually implementing and not just mandating change in the workplace. I especially appreciated the many tactics and techniques included in the book and companion website including slide templates, exercises and analytical tools (my favorite being the "How/Now/Wow" matrix for narrowing down potential solutions). Highly recommend. This is a great read for teams, regardless of size or industry!

Creating change is hard, especially when change itself fries so many of us out. Jenny Magic and Melissa Breker have created a beautiful framework for making change happen based on the willingness of participants and a detailed process that's easy to follow, user-friendly (no corporate-speak here) and built for collaboration and team dynamics. A great read, and an even better tool for leaders and team members alike.

We're told to listen more and lead better through change, but how exactly? Jenny and Melissa will challenge your assumptions on why teams resist change, but don't worry, they also provide steps on how to take that new knowledge and use it to architect changes that stick.

Wow! Not sure where to start; there are so many plusses to this little book. The foundational tenet of the book is that change—in an organizational sense—is vital to growth. In an organization, without change, all you have is status quo, stagnation, dormancy…the opposites of growth. BUT, change, especially if it’s under-scoped, forced on individuals with no input, rolled out in panic mode and stressful, is simply no one’s cup of tea. Most of us would be resistant, even to the point of fight or flight. This book will help you and your colleagues avoid that “change fatigue” syndrome and derive value, maybe even joy, out of the process. And a note about the structure: IT’S SO EASY TO READ, SO ACCESSIBLE, SO MEMORABLE it’s…okay, I’ll say it…it’s like Who Moved My Cheese married The One Minute Manager and had a baby named American Icon. The cadence and reading level are perfect. You’ll not want to put it down, and that's saying a lot for a business book.

The entire time I read this book, I made Kindle highlights and an obnoxious amount of notes. The thing that makes it different from other change management books is it focuses on the smaller changes that can completely flop if you don't use these methods. For example, let's say you're moving to Hubspot, but you need to get sales on board, marketing on board, the customer service department... everyone needs buy-in and everyone needs to commit to the change. That's usually a disaster, but not anymore. This book completely changed the way I work.

Change Fatigue deals with a topic that's on all of our minds, and provides practical, step-by-step advice with strategies that work. Highly recommend!

I have started a lot of business books in my day - this is one of the few that I've wanted to finish, and even better, I was able to finish it on one airplane ride. As the leader of an organization, burnout is high on my list of concerns. Like everyone, we're trying to stay nimble enough to deal with constant change while not giving our team whiplash from constant new strategy overload. For me, it's the perfect book at the perfect time. What I appreciate about this particular book is that the vast majority of the authors' time is spent on two chapters: Solving the Right Problem and Selling the Vision. This is where I typically get bogged down, so I'm especially thankful for the clear step-by-step guidance and real-world examples.

I am sending the link to this book to every team leader I know - who doesn't know a team experiencing burnout after covid?? HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is a practical and insightful guide to overcoming change fatigue in your organization. As a startup founder, at times I’ve felt like exhaustion around constant change is just “the way it is.” This book helps me realize that it doesn’t have to be this way.

Quick and easy read that calls out the elephant in the room (change fatigue and how it handicaps teams). The book offers practical solutions for improving team focus and efficiency towards a common goal.
